COVID Update: May 24

Welcome news for our farm and the community is that Grimsby Farmers' Market will open for
in-person shopping, with many safety precautions, in the parking lot of the Peach King Centre
(162 Livingston Ave, Grimsby) on Thursday June 11.

Also, the market is running an online store with convenient pickup of orders every Thursday, in a
separate area of the Peach King Centre parking lot. We have had our first week of orders and pickup. Thank you very much to all our customers for your support and patience. Things can only get better! Here is a link for the online store: localline.ca/grimsbyfarmersmarket

At this time we are also planning a small, weekly roadside stand at our farm for customers who may prefer to avoid crowds. Please contact us by email if you are interested: elaine@pearblossomorchard.com

To you and yours, take care and be well.

A thought on COVID-19
April 16, 2020

In this time of uncertainty and anxiety, let's take pause for a breath–
to think how best to help our loved ones, our neighbours, our community.
Let's stay home as asked, say a word of thanks to those who continue to do important work
for us, and take time for reflection.

Though it's unclear as to how things will work out, we continue to seed and plant and try to be positive, though admittedly it's not easy some days. We will find a way to get fresh, wholesome vegetables to you all in a safe way. Grimsby Farmers' Market will most likely be delayed in opening so we will try to make alternate plans–possibly pre-ordered seedlings for your vegetable gardens and pre-ordered veggie boxes for
contactless delivery or pickup here at our farm.
We will keep you posted.

Thank you in advance for your love and support–
we are a small family farm simply trying to do our little part
for you, our friends and neighbours.

Keep well,
Elaine and Ed

Welcome! Breathe the fresh air and enjoy the wide open space and beautiful skies that we now call home. Our small family farm is nestled in the picturesque wine region of Niagara, in Ontario, Canada. As we adjust to the rythms of country living, we are grateful for the beauty and bounty, and humbled by how much we have yet to learn.

At our small market garden, we continue to learn and implement best practices in order to nurture the soil, steward our land and exist harmoniously with Nature. We don't use chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, even those approved for organic use; instead, we use organic mushroom compost, kelp, molasses and other ingredients from the kitchen. We farm organically and sustainably, and implement permaculture techniques – basically, we farm with integrity and heart.
